COOKING CLASSES

Our classes generally include some demonstration and some hands-on sections. The classes include a three-course meal with wine. We will be updating our cooking classes regularly, and they will cover a variety of cuisines.

Learn about knives and how they are made, how to sharpen and care for them This hands on class will give you all the skills to make you faster in the kitchen. Once you have up-skilled you will be ready to sit down and enjoy a perfectly sliced and diced dinner.

HONG KONG STREET FOOD  | Hands-on

Friday 5th March

This hands on class will give you an opportunity to cook authentic dishes you would find in food outlets in Hong Kong. The flavours and colours are intense. Spend some time learning the tips and tricks to make the most of asian style ingredients. Round off the class with lunch around our dining table with a glass of wine.

RISOTTO & TIRAMISU  | Hands-on

Monday 8th March

In this class you will learn how to make true Italian classics. Risotto is a versitile and easy to create dish if you have the right base ingredients. We will show you what to look for when buying ingredients and which seasonal flavours make great risottos all year round. Tiramasu is an all time favourite at the cook school, let us show you how to get a light yet creamy tiramasu along with some great variations. Then enjoy the Italian classics you have made at the dinner table.

MEXICAN FIESTA  | Hands-on

Start the evening with the perfect guacamole washed down with a margarita. Then let our chef show you how to make traditional tortillas from scratch, whip up some handy fresh salsas, blackened fish and an inspirational bean mix. There are a number of countries surrounding the Mediterraean Sea, all of which have their own unique culinary flavours. The focus will be on the unique flavours and styles that are used to create simple mediteranean dishes. CHOCOLATE  | Hands-on

Sunday 28th March

Join Sarah from Adelphi Fine Chocolates for an evening of chocolate decadence. In this class you will be learning how chocolate is grown and manufactured, explore different styles of chocolate from around the world, and how to temper chocolate. In the hands on section you will make ganache filled truffles before being served a chocolate inspired three course dinner at the table. Rich and delicious.

In this class our chef will focus on traditional dried pasta. PETA MATHIAS  | Dinner

Peta will talk about food, travel and her upcoming book on fashion and clothing. She’s become an accidental sustainability icon because she can’t throw clothes away. A few quick clothing changes will demonstrate why Issey Miyake and Trelise Cooper designs are just as fashionable now as they were thirty years ago. Peta will bring her 1966 debutante dress which she may or may not get into. Just as you cook with love, you should dress with love.

Riverside Kitchen will whip up three fabulous courses through out the evening matched with fine wine.
