COOKING CLASSES

Whether you are looking for a relaxed demonstration style class or a hands-on culinary learning experience we have a class for you.  All of our classes finish at the table for a three-course meal matched with New Zealand wines. We will be updating our cooking classes regularly, plesae sign up to our email list for monthly updates about up and coming classes, or get in touch if you would like to book a private class.

HOMEMADE PASTA  | Hands-on

Monday 28th June

Learn the secrets behind perfect pasta. Once you master the art it is so easy to do at home. We will demonstrate how to make the perfect dough, which ingredients to use and where to find them. Then roll up your sleeves and make your own pasta under the watchful eye of our chefs. End the evening at the table with dinner and a glass of Italian wine.

Join Jax from Kings Truffles and chef Stephen Bradley as they explore ways of using truffle to take your dishes to another level. Jax will explain how truffles are grown, harvested and retailed through out New Zealand then Steve will show you how to make the most of this seasonal delicacy. You will then get a chance to make a dish using truffle before sitting down to the table to dine on three elegant courses matched with Pegasus Bay Wines. A great introduction to all things truffle.

Learn how knives are made, different styles and what they are used for, what to look for when purchasing a knife and how to care for your knives. We also cover sharpening with a chance to perfect your sharpening skills. This hands-on class will give you plenty of opportunities to master skills, making you more efficient in the kitchen. We are lucky to be situated directly above the Mediterranean Food Company which has been the inspiration for this class.
